GEMS4U was established in 2008 by owner Mary Sedcieski when she was 18 years old. She began as a Water Street vendor and expanded into Farmers Markets in North Carolina. After 6 years under tents, wind and heat, Mary took a chance and opened a beautiful, bright store at 10 North Front Street in downtown Wilmington, NC. Her logo is a Sunflower which means growth. Mary began her craft as a beader when she was nine years old. Ten years ago Mary expanded into wire wrapping crystals and stones that she now ships all over the world. GEMS4U has Polished and Raw Crystals and Minerals, Handmade jewelry and Ivey Hayes Artwork in her store that is ever growing. GEMS4U will also wire wrap your crystals and stones.
GEMS4U just celebrated our 15th Anniversary. In celebration we opened a second location in The Cotton Exchange! We are in the Granary Building, Space 21.
In February 2025, we consolidated the Front Street Shop into our GEMS4U shop at The Cotton Exchange! Come and be dazzled!
